Cement-bonded Particleboards

CETRIS^® cement-bonded particleboard is, thanks to its high resistance against weather conditions, fire and mechanic damage, also used as a tiling element in exteriors. In addition to jacketing the buildings CETRIS^® board may be used as panels to railings on staircases, balconies, terraces, loggias, etc..

These thin-walled and light structures are, of course, tested to withstand impact load. The stability testing of the panels was carried out in the Plzeň branch of the Technical and Testing Institute in Construction pursuant to CSN 73 2035; the load complied with the requirement of the Article 234 of CSN 73 0035 – an impact of inelastic object of 1 kg flying horizontally, speed of 17 m/s, and impact of inelastic object of 40 kg flying horizontally, speed of 2.5 m/s. After a conclusive test (three times repeated impact) no damage appeared to panels or their mounts to the frame and the usability was maintained. Railing panels made of CETRIS^® cement-bonded particleboards successfully passed this test as well. Based on these tests it is necessary to use CETRIS^® cement-bonded particleboards of at least 16-mm thickness, while the mounting and anchoring systems are described in the technical sheets.

CETRIS^® FINISH cement-bonded particleboards are best suited for these applications. the face and edges of CETRIS^® FINISH boards are treated with primer coat and final paint (shade as per RAL, NCS - consult shade suitability with the manufacturer). The back of the CETRIS^® FINISH boards may be, upon the customer's request, treated with primer coat - white colour penetration. This surface finish does not offer, of course, identical covering power as on the face. In order to achieve the same look we recommend the back side to be treated with a final coat of paint directly at the construction site.
