Cement-bonded Particleboards

CETRIS^® cement-bonded particleboard offers versatile applications also in road construction.

This structural multifunctional board is suitable for such complicated construction primarily thanks to its high utility properties, i.e. high resistance against weather conditions.

CETRIS^® cement-bonded boards in construction or reconstruction of transport engineering structures are used primarily in the system of permanent shuttering in joints of bearing structures of bridges (between beams or between a beam and prefab boot). CETRIS^® creates a levelled bottom (or side) shuttering surface of the prepared element (column, beam, bridge structure, etc.). During concreting the concrete mix and shuttering CETRIS^® board are joined together, therefore, after the concreting is finished the CETRIS^® board remains an integral part of the entire structure.

This application does not require necessary treatment to inner side and edges of CETRIS^® boards before concreting; the outer (face) side of the CETRIS^® board may be, after concreting, treated with surface finish which, in addition to aesthetic look, increases the resistance of the board against weather conditions and frost and extends its lifetime.

The boards are also placed in areas exposed to high load - rotating occurrence of water, frost and defrosting chemical substances. Suitability of this application of CETRIS^® boards has been verified by a test complying with the Technical and qualitative conditions for civil engineering structures. This test is based on CSN 73 1326 (Determination of the surface resistance of cement concrete against water and chemical defrosting substances); CETRIS^® cement-bonded particleboard successfully passed 100 defrosting cycles pursuant to methods A and C.
