Modern construction uses dry mounted construction systems - either with steel or wooden bearing structure. In construction of detached houses, wooden structures, reconstructions, refurbishments, superstructures or highrise buildings the priority is given to light steel structures.
The light steel structure system includes the following three elements:
- thin-wall zinc-coated profiles making up the load bearing structure
- boards for cladding (CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboard primarily as exterior cladding)
- mineral fibres as heat and sound insulation
Use of CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboard in cladding combines excellent mechanic and fire protective parameters with a favourable price. CETRIS® board is not just an external "cover" of frame structure and carrier of contact or vented insulated facade, but also a stiffening element with the wind bracing function in the wall plane. A2-s1,d0 class of response to fire CETRIS® of cement-bonded particleboard contributes to the fire resistance of the entire wall structure.
The steel structure consists of zinc-coated steel profile, cold-rolled, allowing to build not only the support structure of steel hall cladding but also mounted inner walls with very good sound insulation properties and, in particular, load bearing perimeter walls and ceilings of buildings up to three-storey high. Light steel structures represent a modern building system with simple and fast mounting, versatility and variety of external look of buildings that is environmentally friendly. CETRIS® cement-bonded particleboard is used, for example, in the Amtech, Lindab, Tekta systems.
